What is Type 1 Diabetes and what are Its Symptoms?

The main reason behind type1 diabetes is our body’s immune system obliterates the insulin generating cells of our body and then the lack of insulin problems occurs in the body and it comes up as type1 diabetes. Body cells, which produce insulin in our body to regulate amount of sugar in blood are known as beta cells and these cells are destroyed by immune system. Our body’s immune system provides us great protection against foreign invaders, like bacteria and other germs. This is the work of immune system to destroy bacteria and other injurious invaders, but unfortunately it start attacking on body cells also to prevent disease and it fallouts in total extermination of insulin hormone. This is the main cause of type1 diabetes and many people are facing this serious health issue today.

 

When beta cells, which produce insulin in body, are destroyed by body’s immune system, it results in lack of insulin. As the amount of insulin lacks in a person’s body, it totally affects on sugar’s circulation in blood stream. Ultimately excessive amount of sugar in blood accumulates and then the person faces serious health issue, like type1 diabetes. This is proven through many studies and now doctors are working to reduce this problem in their patients.

Symptoms of type1 diabetes:

There are many people in this world, which know that a disease like type1 diabetes exists, but they don’t know its symptoms. It is good to have knowledge on type1 diabetes symptoms because this knowledge can help you in judging yourself well. The symptoms are:

·         If you feeling deep and fast breathing since last few days without any reason, it can be a symptom of type1 diabetes.

·         Another main symptom of type1 diabetes is dry skin and also dry mouth that’s why many diabetes patients face too much thirst in a day.

·         Blushing face and odor in breath is also a symptom of type1 diabetes, so you should beware of it. 

·         In case you are facing too much stomach pain since last few days and other problems, like nausea and vomiting, then go to your doctor and ask him to test for diabetes.

Diagnosing type1 diabetes:

It is quite easy to diagnose type1 diabetes. Our urine usually do not contain any amount of glucose, but if a person is suffering from diabetes, his urine will contain glucose. That’s why doctors suggest you to do urine test. If in urine test doctors find any amount of glucose, they will surely check your blood and then acknowledge you that you have diabetes or not.
